Monday, April 17, the 'Howe Now' Rally in front of the Texada Corp. offices, 938 Howe St., Vancouver was a successful event and a good time was had by all.

Friday, April 14, the community and the loggers were invited to a barbecue on the beach at Fulford Harbour.
About 100 people showed up and a good time was held by all.
Derek Trethewey, one of the Texada principals, came ashore
and engaged in dialogue with several people.

"Unchain the Trust!"

Over 200 gulf islanders gathered on
Wednesday April 12
 in front of the Legislature Buildings in Victoria

The rally called on the provincial government to give the Islands Trust the powers it needs to control industrial logging in the Forest Land Reserve.
