Activities unrelated to mining operations are not permitted on mine sites.  A standard permit condition would be:
 a)        The site shall not be used for any purpose unrelated to the development and extraction of the aggregate resource.  Industrial activities such as topsoil processing, sanitary landfill operations, asphalt recycling, batch plants, equipment storage, metal salvage, etc. shall not be permitted within the mine site.  Use of the mine area for the operation of mechanized off road recreational vehicles is strictly prohibited.  Disused or damaged equipment shall not be stored on site.
